Words
Everyday we hear words. They are spoken to us, we read them, we think them. Constant messages are being thrown at us. We are constantly having messages, whether that be verbal, text, email, the list continues. With all these conversations we have everyday, just try and think how your words have affected the world. Did you make someone's day by telling them a compliment? Did you give someone hope by giving them encouragement? Or even just the fact you acknowledged someone's presence? Think of all the good you can do with your words everyday. Now think of the opposite. What harm can your words do. Can you ruin someones day with a rude comment? Did you gossip about someone and they found out? There are so many possibilites for good and bad that you can do with your words... Recently I had an experience that honeslty changed the way I will talk forever. Words were thrown at me and I honestly thought they were daggers. I had never hurt so bad from words before in my life. I didn't know how to respond. I wanted to throw every mean word I had right back at that person. But in the end, what good does it do? For me to respond just as childish as the person who hurt me, wouldn't make me feel any better. Yes I would have the satisfaction of getting my thoughts off my chest, but in the end I would just have made that person feel just as rotten as I had felt! I made a vow to myself that I would never let my words ever make a person feel so worthless and bad. I want my words to be remembered. By that, I want them to mean something. I want people to feel happy and special when they talk to me, and know that I will never use my words against them. As I strive to make this goal a reality it won't only just make me feel better, but the people I am around as well. I can't wait to see the results of my new change, and hopefully it will inspire others to want to speak nice to and of others as well. :)

Happiness
What brings you joy? What brings you happiness? I say those answers would vary depending on where you are at in your life. How you are, what desires have. To me, that's the biggest challenge. Keeping yourself in the place where you do desire good things that will bring you TRUE happiness. Life is constantly changing. There is never a day as there was before. It is up to us to keep ourselves in check. We must evaluate everyday and keep our self in line for what will bring us happiness. The happiness that never ends. The kind that will bring us joy and that we can rejoice for. Everyday, we have the oppertunity to begin again. We can forget about yesterday, a week ago, even a year ago; And move on. We can start on a clean plate and strive for better things, and better days. Life is a wonderful thing, I want to make the best of it. I want to have true happiness and righteous desires. It's 10:00 a.m., a new day. I will strive for that happiness, and not look back at yesterday.

Better Days
Today, I had a great experience to watch '17 Miracles'. If any one has seen it, you can agree with my by saying it is one of the most powerful and inspiring movies out there. Besides from all the tears and sniffles, I could hear something else. Nothing big or powerful, but indeed moving. I know that I had heard the Holy Ghost testifying to me of the Gospel. I had such a surety of it; my heart is forever full. This movie had so many lessons in it that I would love to share my thoughts on all of them. One line from this movie really taught me a great lesson. As one of the pioneer women spoke her final words she said, "It will all be worth it, if my posterity keeps the faith." That meer sentence speaks a million words for me. This woman gave her life to reach Zion. She left her home, all her belongings, and many other things, for the Gospel. I look at myself and can't even wake up 10 minutes earlier to read my scriptures as I should. I could rant on myself for hours, but I am choosing to take this as a learning experience. I will live my life the way I should and sacrifice the Worldly things, for the Gospel. I know I can make the time, and give up somethings that will help me live my life the way I should. Today, I learned that I have the ability to control certain parts of my day. I learned that I have complete control on what I do on my spare time, and I will use that time to my best advantage. Today, I will live my days better. :)

Thankful
Thanks. It is a simple word, that can scream a thousand feelings. My heart is so full of gratitude at the moment. I don't even know where to begin; for words can not even express what I feel. To begin, I want to share my love for the Gospel. I know for a fact without it, I am nothing. This time last year, I was a completely different person. I don't even want to think back on it, for I fear recalling those past memories. Besides the life style choices, there was also something else that was very different about me. That would have to be my testimony. To be honest, I didn't have one. How sad it is to say, it completely is the truth. I remember last Summer I told my self that there would NEVER be a time again that I wouldn't have a testimony. Since then I worked half way on it. Somedays I worked so hard, somedays I could care less. This trend went on for about a couple months. Then life threw another curve ball at me. With the help of my parents I was able to see the truth and gain control again, and slowly increase having good days rather than bad. Now, it is August 30, 2011. More than a year later, I make the evaluation. Yes, I do have a testimony. (: I have such a testimony I wish to share it with everyone! I am so thankful, so so thankful for God. Without Him, I am nothing. Being in a position where I didn't have the gospel, and now where I do have it, I see a difference. I am so thankful for my parents. I am so thankful for the Plan of Salvation we get to experience. I am thankful for the mini miracles in disguises in my life. I am thankful for all the examples to me in my life. I am thankful for the oppertunities I have. I am so thankful for the testimony I have developed. I am so thankful for my Savior, and for all he does for me. I hope to live everyday in gratitude, and see all the little things that make big differences in my life. I am thankful for the learning experiences that have changed my life to help me become who I am today. Today, I am thankful.<3

Today was one of those days where you appreciate all the things your parents do. Ya know, like grounding you for weeks, taking away driving privileges, I could say more but I think it would frighten someone. But as I sit at home on a Saturday night, I am happy. I am at peace and could careless about what the World is doing at the moment. I read a talk last night by Richard G. Scott, and boy was it a good one. He told a story how he once grew a brush that wanted to grow into a tree. He pruned it and imagined the bush being sad with him. He told the bush that he knew the plan for him, and he was meant to be a bush. Later in life Scott had an experience where he had not gained the opportunity he had wanted. He was angry with God, but soon thought of that earlier story. He knew God was preparing him to become an apostle by 'pruning' him, and just did not know it at the time. This talk meant so much to me, because I feel like I am the little bush getting pruned. My parents are chastening me, because with the help of God they can see what is best for me at this point in time. It is hard to learn lessons, but I am so thankful that my parents care for me enough, to help me through the rough times in my life. :)

Accept, Respect, Perfect.
Every Sunday I am very blessed to have the opportunity to go to church. In YW, Sister Suzee Mower gave a GREAT lesson. Her whole lesson was along the lines of church callings. She taught us to 'Accept, Respect, and then Perfect' our church callings. That day it didn't mean more than a simple statement. But as the week rolled on, more thoughts on the matter came to me. This simple principle can be applied to various things in our lives. The thoughts on this led me to realize this can apply to our families. God has given us callings, just like he has given us families. We were given these wonderful people in our lives to be our family members for a reason. And even if we don't know now, we someday will. I think accepting our family for who they are, then learning to respect them and what they do, and coming together to perfect ourselves through them is a good way to find peace in the home. I now will accept my family, for what we are now, and what we will become. I will come to respect them by showing them love. And then I will be able to perfect myself better, with the help of my family. :)

Everyday we have the great chance to begin again. We are able to put the past behind us, and move forward. Recently, I have taken the oppertunity to begin a blog, and write down all the many lessons that are taught to me in my life. If we forget the pain that came with a consequence, how are we able to not make that bad choice again? If we forget the joy that came with making a good choice, how are we to know that in the end it was worth doing right? As Ray LeBlond said, "You learn something everyday if you pay attention." So as life takes its path, so will I. Being able to see the right and the wrong in our everyday decisions will help make tomorrow be a little bit better. :)
